2 positions available to: Chocolate Production Assistant (Part Time):

About the position: You should love chocolate as much as we do (specially Brigadeiros!), but you don’t have to know everything -- we’ll teach you everything we know.

Your responsibility consists of very passionate chocolate brigadeiro makers that care deeply about the process and take pride in the end product, specially because you will be the person who will hand roll the Brigadeiros fresh on site for our daily basics (Brigadeiro training will be provided).

You will learn to recognize a good quality of chocolate, the infusions, the natural resources and at the end of the week, everyone meets to review what goals were met and what steps can be improved on as we continuously seek to improve and perfect the brigadeiro making process and all the other creations.

Responsibilities:

Talk with customers - our kitchen is a open space and the customers love to watch us producing their Brigadeiros and ask us about them as you will welcoming visitors into our open concept chocolate store and educate them about the new experience in loving chocolate;
Production: Learning and performing all steps of hand roll Brigadeiros with our Chef;
Safety: Adhering to strict safety standards, food safety, and quality procedures;
Maintenance: Cleaning and maintaining our production facility, including machines;

Requires:

Able to work legally in Canada (work visa or permanent resident);
Currently living in Canada;
Language: Fluent in English (required);
Must have Food Handler Certificate;
Weekend availability;
Flexibility to talk with people (Don't be shy, they will love to hear you);
Love for Chocolate Brigadeiro is a must;
Be able to work alone and in group;

These are a physical jobs, but it’s a labor of love. We prefer that candidates have kitchen experience, as it helps with the pace and demands of these positions.

The Location:
Our production store is located on the Danforth, just a 5 minute walk from Woodbine Station.
